Diane Ernestine Earle Ross (n. Detroit, Míchigan, 26 de marzo de 1944), más conocida como Diana Ross, es una cantante y actriz estadounidense. Saltó a la fama en los años '60 al formar parte del grupo The Supremes. En 1970 se estableció como solista. Después interpretó el papel principal de la película Lady Sings the Blues, sobre la vida de la cantante Billie Holiday, que le valió una nominación al Oscar como mejor actriz. Durante los años 70 y 80, Diana se convirtió en la artista femenina más exitosa de la era pop y abarcó también la industria cinematográfica y televisiva así como la teatral en Broadway.

Diana Ernestine Earle Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer, record producer, and actress. Ross was lead singer of the Motown group The Supremes during the 1960s. After leaving the group in 1970, Ross began a solo career that included successful ventures into film and Broadway. She received a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for her role as Billie Holiday in Lady Sings the Blues (1972), for which she won a Golden Globe award. She won several American Music Awards, garnered twelve Grammy Award nominations, and won a Tony Award for her one-woman show, An Evening with Diana Ross, in 1977.
