Paramahansa Yogananda (Gorakhpur, 5 de enero de 1893 - Los Ángeles, 7 de marzo de 1952) fue un yogui y gurú hinduista, propagador del yoga en Occidente, particularmente del método llamado kriya yoga. Introdujo a muchas personas en las enseñanzas de la meditación y muchos conocieron por vez primera la filosofía oriental en su famoso libro Autobiografía de un yogui.

Paramahansa Yogananda (5 January 1893 – 7 March 1952), born Mukunda Lal Ghosh, was an Indian yogi and guru who introduced millions of Indians and westerners to the teachings of meditation and Kriya Yoga through his organization Yogoda Satsanga Society of India and Self-Realization Fellowship. In 1946, he published his autobiography, titled Autobiography of a Yogi which is on the list of the "100 best spiritual books of the 20th Century" created by HarperSan Francisco, a division of HarperCollins Publishers. The book has been regularly reprinted ever since and is known as "the book that changed the lives of millions."
